What does my heart desire, what sets it on fire,
Eyes wander into unknown, Mind tangled in the endless clutter that I do not own,
The moon trains its eyes on me, as the clouds parts away the vulnerability within me.
The light in fury, wind pushing me around like a bully,
My hair dancing mercilessly at the taunt of an unknown rookie.
Battered and beaten both by man and nature,
I can stand against man and protect myself from this creature,
However, I cannot stand against nature,
Prevent my heart to turn into this glacier.
I wonder again, what my heart desires …. what sets it on fire,
If I have a choice to choose between hurt or being numb,
Numb is what my heart would become.
