In the name of humanity – A Poem

War may sometimes be a necessary evil. But no matter how necessary, it is always an evil, never a good. We will not learn how to live together in peace by killing each other’s children ~ JIMMY CARTER

The brutality and bloodshed,

The earth remains the silent witness and has now turned red.

People either fight or perish,

Praying that the future will not be this nightmarish.

People leave their country in search of a foreign homeland,

With their dream, death goes hand in hand.

Yet the history repeats and no one cares,

People kill their own and children not spared.

You want to consume the world with your vengeful curse?

Dig deep and you shall find enough red to quench your thirst!

Our earth is already drenched with blood and bone,

Please don’t further change its essence or tone.

For peace a heavy price has been paid,

So many innocent lives are sacrificed and laid.

Let us look towards a brighter future with a plan,

Brothers and sisters, Humanity is all I understand.
